Dairy Lane Care Centre is currently looking to recruit a caring, compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our friendly team.
Position:
Part Time Care Assistant (Days/backs/nights)
Hours:
Minimum 16 hours per week
Shift Pattern:
Weekend on / Weekend off rota pattern with additional day shifts available to cover the needs of the service.
Flexibility to work additional shifts, including sickness and annual leave cover, would be advantageous.
Essential Criteria:
✔ Minimum Level 2 Health and Social Care certification (or equivalent).
✔ A minimum of 1 year's experience working as a Care Assistant within a residential, nursing or dementia care setting.
✔ Experience supporting older people and individuals living with dementia.
✔ Good verbal and written communication skills.
✔ Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
✔ A caring, compassionate and person-centred approach.
✔ Good understanding of safeguarding, dignity, privacy and infection prevention and control.
✔ Ability to maintain accurate care records and documentation.
✔ Reliable, flexible and committed to delivering high standards of care.
Main Duties:
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents.
- Support residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and hydration.
- Promote dignity, independence, choice and respect at all times.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents' physical or emotional wellbeing.
- Complete daily documentation and care records accurately.
- Support residents to participate in meaningful activities.
- Work closely with families and healthcare professionals.
- Follow all Home policies and procedures including safeguarding, health and safety and infection prevention and control.
