We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Slinger with tickets to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely guiding and positioning heavy loads using specialized lifting equipment, ensuring smooth and efficient operations on-site. Your expertise in handling tickets—permits that authorize lifting activities—will be essential to maintain safety standards and project timelines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, precision, and communication are key to success.
Responsibilities
- Operate lifting equipment with tickets, adhering strictly to safety protocols and operational guidelines
- Coordinate with crane operators, site managers, and other team members to plan and execute lifts efficiently
- Ensure all lifting activities are properly documented, including ticket validation and load details
- Communicate clearly with team members using effective verbal skills to facilitate safe lifting procedures
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of lifting gear and equipment to identify any issues before use
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of lifting zones, including securing loads and ensuring stability during lifts
- Follow all construction site safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Skills
- Proven construction experience with knowledge of heavy lifting operations
- Strong communication skills in English to coordinate effectively across teams
- Valid driving license with the ability to operate company vehicles if required
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents related to lifting tickets and safety procedures
- Attention to detail for inspecting equipment and verifying load specifications
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment through diligent adherence to safety standards
