Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Coach Builder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring coach/motorhome and campervan bodies and related structures with precision and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your mechanical knowledge and craftsmanship in a professional environment, contributing to the creation of high-quality bespoke coaches and specialised vehicles. The position is full-time and paid, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Constructing coach/motorhome bodies according to detailed specifications and drawings
- Repairing and restoring existing coach/motorhome structures to meet quality standards
- Assembling components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
- Ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and quality control procedures
- Measuring, cutting, shaping, and fitting materials with precision
- Performing heavy lifting tasks safely to handle large components or materials
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines and quality expectations
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of vehicle construction processes
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as chisels, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.
- Experience with power tools including drills, saws, grinders, etc.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively during construction or repair tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
- Prior experience in coach building or vehicle restoration is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
