Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Collection and delivery of customers vehicles and trailers to and from our Workshop.
Normal working hours 7.15 - 16.45 Monday to Friday = 47.5hrs basic
Overtime available
Overtime paid £20 per hour over 47.5 hours
Duties
- Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all road regulations.
- Collecting Customers Trailers using your own dedicated Tractor unit .
- Load and unload Vehicles and trailers That require Laden brake tests or Mot's
- Maintain accurate records of Vehicle / Trailer collection sites, including mileage.
- Communicate effectively customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for operating lorries.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- Ability to operate vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service at all times.
