A highly regarded and growing accountancy and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join its Business Services team.

The Opportunity
As an Accounts Senior, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance, and advisory support. You will play a key role in maintaining strong client relationships while supporting the development of junior team members.
This position offers exposure to a broad range of sectors and the opportunity to work closely with experienced managers and partners in a supportive and progressive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and review management accounts, including reconciliations and insightful commentary.
- Complete VAT returns and supporting working papers.
- Prepare year-end and statutory accounts in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Produce corporation tax computations for straightforward assignments and assist with more complex matters.
- Identify potential tax implications arising from changes within client businesses.
Client Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of clients.
- Respond to client queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Understand clients' commercial objectives and tailor services accordingly.
- Deliver a consistently high standard of client service.
Technical Excellence
- Ensure all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with professional standards.
- Keep abreast of developments in accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Apply technical knowledge to resolve accounting and compliance issues.
Team Support & Development
- Provide guidance and support to junior colleagues.
- Assist with reviewing work and sharing technical knowledge.
- Contribute positively to team performance and collaborative working.
Technology & Process Improvement
- Utilise cloud accounting and financial systems effectively.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery through technology.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- 3+ years' experience within an accountancy practice environment.
- Strong experience preparing accounts for a varied client portfolio.
- Good working knowledge of VAT, statutory accounts, and corporate tax fundamentals.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- A proactive and commercially aware approach.
Qualifications
- AAT qualified, ACA qualified, ACCA qualified, or currently studying towards qualification.

Pay: £32,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
