Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with both hand and power tools. As a Vehicle Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and performance of our vehicles, providing high-quality repairs and maintenance services to our customers.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to diagnose issues and identify necessary repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake replacements, and tyre rotations.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and adjustments.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed on each vehicle, including parts used and labour hours.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment at all times.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory for this position.
