The Role
We are looking for a skilled Manual Turner to join our production team in Dewsbury. This is a role for a machinist who enjoys technical variety; you won't be pushing a button on a repeat cycle all day. Instead, you will be producing critical, mainly one-off components for our bespoke hydraulic cylinders and power packs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Precision Turning: Producing high-quality 1-off items and small batches (typically 1–10 offs).
- Technical Interpretation: Working confidently from detailed engineering drawings or existing samples.
- Specialist Tasks: Proficient in screw cutting and NC lathe work.
- Quality Control: Ensuring all machined parts meet strict tolerances for hydraulic applications.
- Self-Management: Managing your own workload to meet production schedules and deadlines.

- Proven Experience: Strong background in manual turning and NC lathe operation.
- Versatility: Comfortable switching between different types of jobs and materials.
- Precision: A keen eye for detail and the ability to work to tight tolerances.
- Reliability: A proactive attitude with a willingness to work overtime when required to meet customer needs.
