In this varied role, you'll be at the heart of the pharmacy, supporting patients, assisting the pharmacist and helping to keep everything running smoothly day to day.
Key responsibilities:
- Greeting customers warmly and offering helpful advice on over-the-counter products
- Accurately dispensing prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist
- Managing stock, including ordering, receiving deliveries and rotating shelves
- Processing prescriptions through the PMR system and handling confidential information with care
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised pharmacy environment
- Signposting patients to appropriate NHS services and healthcare professionals when needed
What we're looking for:
- A caring, approachable manner and genuine desire to help people
- Strong communication skills, both in person and over the phone
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately
- A team player who can also use initiative when working independently
- Basic IT skills and a willingness to learn new systems
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail healthcare setting is desirable, but not essential — full training will be provided
- A Dispensing Assistant or Medicines Counter Assistant qualification is a bonus, though we're happy to support you through this
