Job Title: Delivery Driver for Airgun Retailer
Location: Sleaford and North Rauceby, Lincolnshire
Pay: £13.50 per hour
Hours: Part-time, 20–30 hours over 2–3 days/week, with potential to increase hours as the business grows
About Us
We are a thriving, independent airgun retailer based in Sleaford and North Rauceby. We are looking for someone to join our team to undertake our weekly multi-drop delivery service of our customer orders.
The Role
We are seeking a reliable team member who will provide outstanding customer service, adding a personal touch to our home deliveries. On delivery you should be well presented and approachable. You will have to call to contact customers to make arrangements for their delivery, so you must have a good telephone manner. You will also be expected to engage with the customer on the doorstep, if required, answering any questions the customer may have.
Knowledge of shooting and airguns is not required but would be would be helpful, or willingness and interest to gain product knowledge would be an advantage, so that we can provide the best possible customer service. We would require you to have a certain level of airgun knowledge, and understanding of how our business operates before commencing delivery runs, so a period of time (2-4 weeks) will be spent in our shop to begin with whilst learning the basics on product knowledge, get to know the team, and to understand how your role fits in to the ordering process.
You will have the use of a company van for undertaking these deliveries. Our deliveries cover the whole of England and Wales. Overnight stays will be required. Hotels are pre-paid by Range & Country, and you will also get a subsistence allowance.
Minimum 8 years of driving experience with a clean driving licence. As you would be on our Registered Firearms Dealer Certificate, police checks would be carried out prior to start date.
