Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Sales Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations, assisting customers, and ensuring the smooth delivery of healthcare services. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in healthcare, with a focus on patient care and pharmacy support functions. The role involves providing friendly customer service, managing sales transactions, and supporting pharmacy staff with medication-related tasks. Prior experience in pharmacy or healthcare settings is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their pharmacy needs
- Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Support pharmacy staff with medication organisation and stock management
- Provide information to customers about over-the-counter products and basic health advice within scope of training
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organised pharmacy environment
- Support medication administration procedures under supervision when required
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with data protection policies
Experience
- Previous experience as a pharmacy sales assistant preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration and patient care practices is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour are required to provide outstanding customer service
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to undertake ongoing training to enhance knowledge of pharmaceutical products and healthcare procedures
Pay: £8.00-£12.85 per hour
