Sous Chef
Location: The Penny Bar & Restaurant, Llety Cynin – St Clears
The Penny Bar & Restaurant is located within Llety Cynin, a hospitality business based on a working farm on the outskirts of St Clears.
Llety Cynin operates as a multi-purpose venue offering:
- A restaurant and bar
- Guest accommodation rooms
- Spa and leisure facilities
- Event and function spaces
We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team as we continue to develop our food offering across the restaurant and events side of the business.
The Role
The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in good food, cooked from scratch using quality ingredients. You will be involved in day-to-day kitchen operations and support service for both restaurant and function bookings.
You should be comfortable working in a busy environment and willing to contribute ideas and consistency to menus as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking dishes to a consistent standard
- Supporting restaurant and event service
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
- Assisting with menu development
- Working effectively as part of the kitchen team

- Experience in a similar kitchen role
- Passion for fresh food and good standards
- Ability to work well within a team as well as alone.
- Reliable and organised approach
- Flexibility with shift work, including weekends
