Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced paint sprayer to join our team, specialising in industrial and commercial painting projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in applying coatings using spray equipment, with a keen eye for detail and safety. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilising advanced techniques and tools to achieve high-quality finishes. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing surfaces, operating spray equipment, and ensuring the highest standards of workmanship are maintained throughout each project.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Operate spray guns and other painting equipment efficiently and safely to apply coatings evenly across various surfaces.
- Mix paints and coatings accurately using specified ratios, ensuring colour consistency and quality.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as required for surface preparation and finishing tasks.
- Assist with fabrication and assembly tasks related to painting projects when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Conduct inspections of finished work to ensure compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a paint sprayer within construction, manufacturing or warehouse environments.
- Mechanical knowledge coupled with familiarity using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
- Basic maths skills for mixing paints and measuring materials accurately.
- Previous experience in industrial painting or similar roles is highly desirable.
- Warehouse experience or working within industrial settings is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety procedures at all times.
