Registered Children’s Home Manager – New 3-Bed EBD Home
Location: High Wycombe
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
An Exciting Opportunity to Build Something from the Ground Up
We are looking for an experienced and inspiring Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead the launch of a brand-new 3-bed Ofsted-registered children’s home in Watford, supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is a rare opportunity to do more than manage a service — it’s a chance to create one from the very beginning, shaping the culture, values, and standards from day one.
Working closely with the Responsible Individual, you will play a key role in building a safe, nurturing, and trauma-informed home where children feel secure, supported, and empowered to achieve positive outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the Ofsted registration and successful setup of the new home
- Recruit, develop, and inspire a dedicated residential care team
- Create and embed a trauma-informed, child-centred culture
- Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Oversee the daily running of the home and maintain outstanding care standards
- Monitor and improve outcomes for children and young people
- Manage budgets, staffing, resources, and reporting requirements
- Work collaboratively with external professionals and partner agencies
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a confident and compassionate leader who is ready to take ownership and make a real impact:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children’s Residential), or working towards completion
- Minimum 2 years’ recent experience in a leadership role within a children’s residential setting
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and EBD care
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
- A child-focused, trauma-informed approach to care
- Resilient, proactive, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for children
What We Offer
- The opportunity to launch and shape a brand-new children’s home
- A small, 3-bed service focused on high-quality, personalised care
- Strong and supportive senior leadership team
- Competitive salary package (dependent on experience)
- Genuine opportunities for career progression and development
- The chance to build a service you can be proud of from day one
