Press Brake Operator / Sheet Metal Operative
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Press Brake Operator / Sheet Metal Operative to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with sheet metal experience who is looking to develop their skills in a supportive working environment.
While experience with press brake forming machines is preferred, full process-specific training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating press brake forming machines.
- Forming and handling sheet metal in a range of gauges.
- Selecting and using press brake tooling.
- Reading and interpreting basic engineering drawings.
- Carrying out basic measuring and quality checks to ensure accuracy.
The Ideal Candidate
- Has previous sheet metal experience.
- Has experience with, or an understanding of, press brake forming equipment.
- Can read basic engineering drawings.
- Is familiar with basic measuring techniques.
- Is hardworking, conscientious, and has good manual dexterity.
- Has a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and an excellent attendance record.
