Duties
- Develop and implement scalable backend services using technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, C#, and PHP to support high-traffic applications.
- Design and optimize database schemas for MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and MongoDB to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and web services using ASP.NET <PERSON>, WCF, SOAP, and XML to facilitate seamless communication between systems.
- Collaborate with front-end teams to develop intuitive user interfaces utilizing Angular, React, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks.
- Deploy and manage cloud-based solutions on AWS and Azure platforms, leveraging services like virtual machines, containers, and serverless functions for scalable infrastructure.
- Implement microservices architecture with Docker containers and orchestrate deployments using GitHub workflows or TFS to enhance modularity and deployment speed.
- Conduct unit testing, debugging, code reviews, and performance tuning to uphold code quality standards within the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
- Create detailed technical documentation including UML diagrams for system design and workflows.
- Use version control systems such as Git or SVN for source code management while adhering to best practices in code collaboration.
- Participate in agile development processes by contributing to sprint planning sessions and daily stand-ups to ensure project momentum.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Proven experience in software development with proficiency in languages such as Java, C#, Python, PHP or Ruby on Rails.
- Strong understanding of front-end development including Angular, React, HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript frameworks like Bootstrap.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for deploying scalable applications.
- Familiarity with database design principles for relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Microsoft SQL Server) as well as NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
- Knowledge of RESTful API design principles along with experience implementing web services (SOAP/WS-*).
- Experience working within microservices architectures using Docker containers or similar containerization tools.
- Proficiency with version control systems including Git or SVN; experience with TFS is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies including Agile/Scrum practices; familiarity with unit testing frameworks is essential.
- Excellent debugging skills combined with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of UML for system modeling and XML/XSLT for data transformation tasks is desirable.
