Qualified Dental Nurse – part time

What You’ll Need
- National Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing
- Current GDC registration
- Valid indemnity insurance
- Post-qualification dental nursing experience
- Up-to-date CPD portfolio
- Hepatitis B immunisation
- Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) – must be current or willing to obtain one before starting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Confidence working in a fast-paced practice environment
Key Responsibilities
Your role will include (but is not limited to):
- Assisting clinicians and hygienists with chair-side support
- Escorting patients to and from the surgery, ensuring they feel welcome and cared for
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Sterilisation and decontamination of instruments in line with HTM 01-05 standards
- Ensuring surgeries are fully stocked, equipped, and ready for procedures
- Monitoring and assisting with stock control
- Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and practice policies
- Supporting general admin and reception cover when needed
- Reporting and recording any issues with dental equipment and ensuring maintenance is followed up
