We’re a growing bar & festival business looking for a part time Accounts Assistant to support the Management Accountant during our peak festival season. This role is remote, except for the first day or two to allow for in-person onboarding and training at our Northampton office.

Contract Type : 0 hour OR Freelance
Working week : 5-20 hours per week – flexible and variable, to be agreed
Location : Remote EXCEPT the first day or two. We'd ideally like you to attend our Northampton office (NN4 7EE) for those days to complete onboarding & systems set up.
Working closely with our Management Accountant, you will take on day-to-day administrative tasks to free up capacity within the finance team. You will be responsible for keeping our systems up to date, processing expenses, and managing routine correspondence - ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Moss card management - monitoring spend, reconciling transactions, and keeping cardholder records up to date
- Processing and submitting employee expense claims accurately and on time
- Accounts payable support — logging invoices, chasing approvals, and liaising with suppliers as needed
- Managing and triaging shared finance or admin email inboxes, escalating urgent items appropriately
- General administrative support to the Management Accountant, including filing, data entry, and document management
- Assisting with ad hoc finance administration tasks as they arise
- Compiling timesheet information for bi-weekly payroll
What you’ll need:
- Previous experience in an administrative or finance support role is essential
- Familiarity with expense management platforms (experience with Moss is an advantage)
- Comfortable working with accounts payable processes and purchase ledger administration
- Strong attention to detail and good numerical accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; comfortable with cloud-based tools
- Well-organised, self-motivated, and able to manage your own workload with minimal supervision
- Professional and discreet when handling sensitive financial information
