Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated self employed skilled Plumbing, Heating, and Gas Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing, heating systems, and gas appliances in residential settings. Your expertise will ensure our customers enjoy safe, efficient, and reliable heating and plumbing solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects while contributing to a reputable company committed to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances
- Fit and maintain heating systems such as boilers, radiators, and thermostats
- Conduct gas safety checks and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete installations
- Perform heavy lifting of equipment and materials safely during projects
- Diagnose mechanical issues using mechanical knowledge and basic math calculations
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each job
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plumbing, heating installation, or repair work
- Knowledge of gas safety regulations and certification (e.g., Gas Safe registration) preferred
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on job sites
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations or repairs
- Valid driver’s license with commercial driving experience preferred
- Additional skills such as carpentry or experience with heavy machinery are advantageous
