Sky Scaffolding Midlands Ltd is an established NASC-accredited scaffolding contractor based in Warwickshire. We provide commercial and industrial scaffolding services across the Midlands and throughout the UK, working with a long-standing client base on projects of varying size and complexity.
We are looking for an experienced Scaffolding Contracts Manager to join our Operations Team.
This is an office and site-based management position for someone with established experience managing scaffolding contracts. We are looking for somebody who can take responsibility for projects from initial planning through to completion, coordinating labour and resources, managing client relationships and maintaining control of the commercial and operational aspects of their contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple scaffolding contracts from initial planning through to completion
- Plan and coordinate labour, materials, transport and other resources
- Manage scaffolding gangs and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme
- Maintain regular communication with clients, attend meetings and develop strong working relationships
- Carry out regular site visits, inspections and progress reviews
- Review drawings, scaffold designs and TG20 compliance documentation
- Identify, record and manage variations and additional works
- Monitor contract performance, costs and productivity
- Assist with estimating, quotations and the preparation of new work where required
- Ensure compliance with TG20:21, TG30:24, SG4:22, relevant legislation and company procedures
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and wider Operations Team to coordinate workloads and resolve issues
About You
You will already have significant experience in a scaffolding contracts management or similar management role, including office-based responsibility for planning and coordinating scaffolding works.
You should have:
- Proven experience managing scaffolding contracts and multiple site teams
- Strong knowledge of scaffolding operations and industry standards
- Experience of labour and resource planning
- Good commercial awareness, including variations and additional works
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Good organisational and administrative skills
- Good computer skills and experience working with office-based systems
- CISRS qualifications and a strong practical understanding of scaffolding
- Full UK driving licence
SMSTS, CISRS Supervisor, estimating experience and knowledge of CADS Smart Estimator and/or Strikesoft Strike would be advantageous.
