We are seeking a motivated Accounts Trainee to join our Accounts team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills within a dynamic organisation. The successful candidate will gain practical experience in financial processes, utilise various accounting software, and support the accounts department in daily operations. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in accounting and finance.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist with processing client receipts and payments
- Understanding client ledgers and completion statements
- Assist with supplier processing invoices
- Help maintain accurate records and documentation
- Learn how to reconcile bank accounts and the importance of this daily duty
- Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers
- Learn and apply accounting principles and software tools
- Assist with client ledger management
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records using accounting software such as LEAP and Xero
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial information
- Assist with other administrative tasks related to finance as required
Training & Development
- Study support available
- CLC Account Code training
- Training on LEAP, Xero and online banking tools
- On-the-job mentoring from experienced finance professionals
- Regular performance reviews and development planning
What We’re Looking For
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is necessary
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- A genuine interest in finance and accounting
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Experience in data entry or administrative support roles is advantageous
- Strong Organisational skills with attention to detail
Pay: From £24,784.50 per hour
