We’re looking for someone who is organised, confident and keen to learn to join our Finance team at our Head Office in Ambergate.
You don’t need previous finance or credit control experience. We’re more interested in finding someone with the right attitude – someone who is willing to learn, happy to pick up the phone, asks questions and isn’t afraid to have a go.
The Lockwood Group is a growing, family-owned business employing over 400 people across eight UK sites. This is a great opportunity to learn how the finance side of a large, fast-moving business works and develop your skills as part of an experienced team.
What you'll be doing
- Speaking to customers about their accounts and payments.
- Helping keep customer accounts accurate and up to date.
- Investigating queries and working with different teams to get them resolved.
- Keeping track of outstanding invoices and payments.
- Using Excel and our finance systems to manage information.
- Supporting reporting and other day-to-day Finance tasks.
- Learning about credit control, accounts and how cash moves through a business.
Who we're looking for
Experience isn't essential. We're looking for someone who is:
- Organised and good at keeping on top of things
- Confident communicating with different people
- Curious and keen to understand how things work
- Proactive – you'll have a go rather than wait to be asked
- Comfortable with numbers and basic Excel
- Keen to learn and develop
You might be leaving school or college, graduating from university, or simply looking for your first opportunity in a Finance team.
