Support Worker – Home Care & Package Support Roles
Pay: £13.45 per hour
Mileage: 40p per mile for drivers
Jemcare is a family-run domiciliary care provider supporting people throughout West Cumbria. We are looking for compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join our growing team.
Home Care Support Workers
If you enjoy variety and building relationships with different people, our home care roles could be perfect for you.
We offer:
- 16, 24 or 35-hour contracts
- £13.45 per hour
- 40p per mile for drivers
- Full training provided
- Ongoing support and development

As a Home Care Support Worker, you will support people in their own homes with personal care, medication, meal preparation, household tasks, companionship and promoting independence.
Package Support Workers
If you would prefer not to travel from house to house, we also have part-time Package Support Worker vacancies available.
These roles involve:
- Supporting one individual
- Working in one location
- Being part of a small, dedicated team
Current package vacancies are based in Maryport and Dearham.
What we're looking for
- Caring, compassionate and reliable individuals
- Excellent communication skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Driver preferred for Home Care roles
- Previous care experience is desirable but not essential as full training is provided
