Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. Previous restaurant experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations efficiently
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required, adhering to food safety standards
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities in a friendly manner
- Clear tables efficiently, ensuring the dining area remains tidy and inviting
- Handle payments accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in line with health and safety regulations
- Support kitchen staff with basic tasks when needed, contributing to smooth service flow
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and cash management
- Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks during busy periods
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Food preparation or culinary experience is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of kitchen operations
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales potential
