We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Senior Resourcer to join our company City Calling.
City Calling is a leading recruitment agency based in Kings Langley, connecting talented professionals and organisations within the construction industry. They are a proud member of the Munnelly Group who are a leading UK construction and infrastructure support services group and parent to eight businesses including Bishopsgate, Bridgehead, City Calling, Guardior, MacRail, Munnelly Support Services, and Weston Analytics.
City Calling cover labour hire, freelance, temporary and permanent recruitment within the construction industry and allied sectors, from on-site operatives, through to white collar, to board level executives.
ROLE SPECIFICATION:
The Senior Resourcer is responsible for leading the candidate generation and delivery function within City Calling. This includes ensuring a consistent flow of quality candidates for client requirements and maintaining compliance with industry standards. The role will focus on developing and implementing sourcing strategies to support the business development function and ensure client vacancies are filled effectively and efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the end-to-end candidate resourcing process, including advertising, headhunting, networking, and database management.
- Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract candidates across the construction sector, including temporary, contract, and permanent roles.
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, advertising, referrals, and direct approaches.
- Register, interview, and screen candidates, ensuring all compliance and right-to-work checks are completed.
- Match candidates to live vacancies in line with client specifications.
- Build and maintain strong candidate relationships to encourage loyalty and repeat engagement.
- Proactively develop candidate networks to ensure availability for current and future opportunities.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of candidate records and compliance with legal, regulatory, and company requirements (e.g. right-to-work checks, qualifications, certifications).
- Dealing with request from clients in a timely & professional manner
- Responsible for sending out booking confirmations to workers & clients and coordinating site inductions
- Handling all timesheet queries from workers & clients
- Ensuring all timesheet & correct pay information is sent to Payroll & Finance each week.
- Monitor and analyse market trends to anticipate candidate availability and skills shortages.
- Report regularly on resourcing activity, pipeline, and performance against delivery targets.
- Involved in client & internal audits of our processes to ensure quality & compliance at all times.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- This role is delivery-focused, and performance will be measured against candidate availability, fulfilment rates, and quality of placement.
- The post-holder may be required to attend client sites for relationship management and workforce checks.
- Standard working hours apply, but flexibility will be required to meet the demands of the role.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- Proven experience in recruitment resourcing / delivery
- Strong understanding of the construction recruitment market and network of candidates
- Someone looking to develop into a Resourcing Manager role as the company grows.
- Excellent knowledge of sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, networking, and direct headhunting.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple roles and priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates at all levels.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on compliance and record keeping.
- Experience in managing large temporary/contractor workforces within construction.
- Familiarity with recruitment systems and databases (e.g. CRM, ATS).
- Knowledge of health and safety & recruitment compliance standards relevant to the construction sector.

Pay: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
