Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust was formed in 2006 and became integrated with NHS Coventry in April 2011.

The Trust provides a full range of expanding physical, mental health and learning disability services to children, young adults, adults and older adults over many sites across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull.

Services are provided to a population of over one million people living in Coventry and Warwickshire and also a wider geographical area in some of our specialist services, we see on average around 5,000 patients every day.

During colleagues’ absence, you will be required to cover shifts across a 24 hour/7 day a week system and could be working 12 quater hour shifts.

The post is based within the Switchboard/Reception of St Michael’s Hospital, Warwick. The hospital is a mental health in-patient site, open 24/7, 365 days/nights per year. The post-holder will be required to work with an integrated and skill mixed team, providing an effective and efficient admin support service, with the operation of a switchboard system for which training would be provided. You must be able to multi-task and be computer literate. An understanding of mental health would be advantageous and you will need to display compassion and respect at all times for patients, carers, staff and all visitors to the site.

You will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and you will be required to cross cover shifts. The standard shift will be 6¼ hours per day, Tuesday to Friday, but this will vary in order to meet service need and cover absence, therefore you could be required to work a 12¼ hour shift either day or night and this could be at a weekend or bank holiday, for which you would receive enhanced pay. Therefore, working hours will be averaged over the course of a 4 week period.
