Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Room Leader/2nd Deputy Manager to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Lead and supervise a designated nursery room, ensuring high-quality care and educational activities for children
- Support the planning and implementation of engaging early childhood programs that promote development across all areas
- Mentor and motivate team members, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and safeguarding policies to maintain a secure environment for children and staff
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily routines
- Assist in managing daily administrative tasks, including record keeping, attendance monitoring, and reporting
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of nursery staff to maintain a skilled team
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care and educational standards
Experience
- Proven management experience within a childcare or nursery setting, ideally in a leadership or supervisory role
- Extensive experience working directly with children in early childhood education or childcare environments
- Strong knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and safeguarding procedures including Designated Safeguarding Lead experience and knowledge
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, outside agencies and team members
- Demonstrated leadership ability to motivate staff and manage team dynamics effectively
- Experience working with diverse groups of children with varying needs
- Valid driving license is preferred to facilitate transportation or outreach activities when necessary

Pay: £29,700.00-£30,000.00 per year
