Overview
We are seeking an experienced, friendly and reliable Barista/Duty Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate shows an understanding of Speciality coffee or at the very least 'wants to learn'. Takes pride in consistency and quality, and leads by example through excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items in accordance with company standards.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient service during shifts.
- Supervise and support team members, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Manage customer orders and address any concerns promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Assist in organising staff schedules and delegating tasks to optimise workflow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate supply needs to management.
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene across all work areas
- Handle cash and card payments accurately
- Support and guide other team members during busy service periods
- Help maintain a calm, organised workflow during peak hours
Requirements
- Demonstrable supervising experience with team management capabilities.
- Barista experience is essential, along with skills in serving customers efficiently.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage your team.
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor that enhances guest interactions.
- 2 Yrs min experience.
- Knowledge of Dialing in grinders.
- Latte art is not essential but the ideal candidate will understand milk texture and shows signs of latte art.
- Knowledge of espresso extraction, coffee recipes and preparation techniques
- Operates Hygienically.
- Proactive and shows Initiative.
- Places orders for stock.
