Shift Manager
Location: Woolston, Southampton
Shift Pattern: 06:00-18:00 & 18:00-06:00, 4-on 4-off shift pattern
Salary: £19.76 to £21.30 per hour (starting at £19.76)
About the Role
Siva Group is seeking a proactive and hands-on Shift Manager to lead production operations of one of the four shifts and ensure high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency across our manufacturing facility. This is a key leadership role responsible for coordinating teams, maintaining compliance, and keeping production running smoothly during your shift.
You will play a vital role in delivering operational excellence within a fast-paced, hygiene-controlled environment aligned with BRCGS and ISO9001 standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all production activities during your shift
- Ensure safe working practices and full compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Manage staffing levels, shift handovers, and absence cover
- Oversee housekeeping and site standards across departments
- Support quality assurance by managing non-conformances and production checks
- Maintain effective communication with planning, engineering, and senior management
- Generate shift reports and production updates
- Support performance management and attendance processes
- Ensure site security during night or weekend shifts (if applicable)
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a production leadership or supervisory role within manufacturing.
- Strong people management and team-building skills.
- Good understanding of health & safety and hygiene standards in a production environment.
- Confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving ability.
- Organised, resilient, and able to perform under pressure.
- Clear communicator who can coordinate across multiple departments.
Working hours:
- Should be available to work 6 AM to 6 PM and vice-versa, 4 days on and 4 days off once assigned to a shift. Alternating between days and nights.
- May be required to work Mon- Fri 8am to 6pm until fully assessed & integrated.
