Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Building and Bookings Assistant to join our team. You will have a key role in providing a warm welcome to the community of Macclesfield, and beyond, into our lovely and historic building in Macclesfield Town Centre. You will be the coordinator for overseeing booking schedules, and ensuring smooth and efficient use of our facilities. Your proactive approach will help foster a welcoming environment for all users, while your organizational skills will keep everything running smoothly and safely. Duties
- Manage the booking calendar, ensuring all reservations are accurately scheduled and confirmed in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external clients to facilitate room and facility bookings, ensuring practical requirements and support are in place.
- Welcome visitors and guests professionally, providing directions and assistance as needed to promote a positive experience.
- Assist with management of the Church building by monitoring facility conditions, and liaising with routine maintenace contractors.
- Ensure that documentation concerned with building maintenance and safety is in place.
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask efficiently.
- Previous experience in a responsible and practical role.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with church members and external stakeholders.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and use of office equipment.
- Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workloads.
- Ability to maintain accurate records
- Experience in administrative support, facilities or events management is advantageous.
