EPS Tutorial Service is a well-established Birmingham-based tuition centre with over 35 years of experience, specialising in Key Stage 2 and 11+ preparation. We deliver high-quality English and Maths tuition through small-group teaching at our Birmingham centre.
We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our teachers across our Year 3, 4 and 5 classes, helping pupils get the most from every lesson.
The Role
You would support the lead teacher in delivering our small-group English and Maths lessons. This includes working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning, helping with marking and feedback on-site, assisting with classroom organisation, and helping to maintain a calm, focused and positive learning environment. Our curriculum and resources are fully prepared, so your focus is on supporting pupils and the teacher in the room.

Availability
We operate Wednesday to Friday between 4:30pm and 7:30pm, and Saturday between 9:00am and 5:15pm. This role does not involve all of these hours, but you would need to be available across these days and times. The specific classes and your firm slots would be agreed at interview, to suit both you and the centre.
Requirements:
- Experience working with primary-age children (school, tuition or similar)
- Good subject knowledge in English and Maths to Key Stage 2 level
- Patient, reliable and a good communicator
- Able to support, encourage and motivate young learners
- Commitment to completing marking on-site and delivering accurate feedback
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
