About Bath & Co
Bath & Co is a design-led bathroom renovation company delivering complete bathroom refurbishments and renovations across Edinburgh and East Lothian.
We are looking for an experienced Bathroom Fitter to join the team as we continue to grow. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work, works to a high standard and is comfortable taking responsibility for the installation of a bathroom from start to finish.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out bathroom installations and refurbishments, working alongside our wider team of trades and apprentices.
The role will involve:
- Full bathroom strip-outs and preparation
- Installation of bathroom suites, showers, baths, WCs, basins and furniture
- Plumbing alterations and installation
- First and second fix plumbing
- Installation of sanitaryware and brassware
- Fitting shower trays and screens
- Installing wet wall and other bathroom wall finishes
- Floor preparation and flooring installation
- Basic joinery associated with bathroom installations
- Working alongside tilers, electricians, plasterers and other trades
- Reading plans, specifications and installation drawings
- Keeping the work area clean, organised and safe
- Working to agreed programmes and project deadlines
- Identifying issues on site and communicating them to the project manager
- Completing work to a high standard with attention to detail
- Carrying out snagging and final finishing before handover
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in bathroom installation and be able to work independently without constant supervision.
You should:
- Have proven experience as a bathroom fitter
- Be confident with plumbing and bathroom installations
- Be able to complete the majority of a bathroom installation yourself
- Take pride in the quality and finish of your work
- Have good attention to detail
- Be reliable and punctual
- Be able to communicate well with clients, colleagues and other trades
- Be organised and able to work to deadlines
- Have a clean and professional approach on site
- Hold a full UK driving licence
A plumbing qualification or relevant trade qualifications would be advantageous, but practical experience and a strong track record are equally important.
