Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Shift Leader with EVENT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE to oversee daily operations within our business. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in event management, and experience in managing teams in a fast-paced setting. This role involves supervising staff, taking control of our private and in house events, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining high levels of customer service. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for events and hospitality to advance their careers while contributing to a dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise team members during shifts
- Planning private hire events with our potential clients and being present on the day as the point of call
- Manage daily operational tasks including inventory control, stock replenishment, and cleanliness
- Cellar management
- Assist with training new staff members and providing ongoing coaching to improve performance
- Coordinate with management to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly
- Support the dynamic approach to our offering we need to maintain to serve the general public as a cafe whilst being the cricket clubhouse and private hire venue
- General day to day admin tasks to include email management, rotas, invoicing etc
Experience
- Proven experience in events
- Management or supervising experience with in a hospitality business
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Barista experience
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including managing staff schedules and ensuring high-quality service standards
