Role overview:
Are you passionate about supporting people and making a real impact?
Are you looking for a HR role which allows you to utilise your HR skills, develop professionally and where you can see firsthand what it means to work in an organisation that is making a difference to thousands of young people's lives?
Are you wanting a generalist HR role with opportunities to get involved in big impact project work and complex case work?
Is so, we want to hear from you!
Anglian Learning is pleased to share with you an exciting opportunity for a HR Officer to join the Trust's HR Shared Services Team.
The HR Officer plays a vital role in delivering an efficient, professional, and people-focused HR service not only with their stakeholder school(s) but across the Trust.
The successful role holder will be based at the HR Head Office in North Cambridge with travel to their partner schools (Bassingbourn Village College and Joyce Frankland Academy) as needed.
Led by the Director of People, the HR Shared Services Team adopts a business partnering model with a relatively newly formed team consisting of HR Business Partners, HR Officers and HR Assistants. You will act as the first point of contact physically at the schools and remotely, delivering a broad and hands-on HR service. As a key member of the HR Team your role will include:
- Managing employee relations including supporting the HRBPs with complex casework
- Leading on recruitment, onboarding, and HR processes
- Advising staff, including manages and senior leaders, on policies and best practice
- Supporting HR projects and organisational change which support the Trust’s people vision and strategy.
- Contribute to the delivery of the people strategy in line with School/Area business plans and wider Trust strategic objectives.
- Using HR data to identify trends and improve decision-making
This is a true generalist role acting as the operational lead and with exposure to the full employee lifecycle.
What we can offer:
- Opportunities for development including a bespoke development plan and support completing the CIPD Level 5 qualification if applicable.
- Exposure to varied and complex HR work with real community impact.
- Working in a supportive team of highly experienced and knowledgeable HR professionals.
- Variety – no day is ever the same!
- Hybrid working during term time plus greater flexibility during school holidays.
- As an employee of Anglian Learning you would also benefit from access to a range of employee benefits and Trust-wide initiatives. For an overview of the benefits on offer please refer to the Recruitment Information Pack.
Regrettably we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. Applicants must either have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application or be in the process of obtaining this, as proof of right to work will be required during the recruitment process.
If working for an organisation that strives to have a long-lasting positive impact on its pupils and local community sounds appealing then we want to hear from you!
