Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Body Shop Prepper to join our auto repair team. In this role, you will prepare vehicles for repair by performing surface preparation , filler work- medium repairs. The person must be fully experienced in this role as no training is provided.
Ensuring that all vehicles are ready for the next stages of body work, painting, and finishing. Your expertise will help streamline repair processes, maintain high-quality standards . Salary is dependent on experience and is negotiable . Minimum 4 years experience in the trade.
Duties
- Thoroughly inspect vehicles to identify areas requiring preparation, including sanding, masking, and cleaning surfaces for optimal paint adhesion
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform sanding, grinding, buffing, and other surface preparation tasks .
- Apply masking tape and paper to protect areas not being painted or repaired
- Operate airless paint spraying equipment and other auto painting tools to ensure smooth, even coats of primer are applied .
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained for safety and efficiency
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year
