Muddy Puddles Childcare is small nursery based on a farm within 100 acres of land, we are mainly a child-led setting however, we do have adult led activities as well. We spend a lot of time outdoors in all weathers exploring the environment around us.
We are looking for a passionate, experienced, and motivated Deputy Manager to join our friendly and welcoming childcare team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic childcare professional who is ready to support the Nursery Manager in leading a high-quality early years setting.
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of care, learning, and safeguarding for all children.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager in the daily management of the nursery
- Lead and motivate staff to deliver outstanding childcare and education
- Ensure compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and nursery policies
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff
- Support planning and delivery of activities for children of all ages
- Help monitor staff performance, training, and development
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 Childcare Qualification (essential)
- Previous experience working with children of all age groups in a nursery setting
- Experience in a senior room leader, deputy manager, or similar leadership role preferred
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Passionate about providing high-quality childcare
