Join our grand brewing adventure! Little Ox Brewery is a small independent family run business established for over 10 years producing exciting modern high-quality beers. We are searching for an innovative and passionate brewery assistant to join our production department. Being a small brewery, everyone at Little Ox is more than just a cog in the machine. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside our director and head brewer, to learn the art and science of brewing, and actively shape our business. Additional roles to cover and support brewery operations will also be required from time to time, including stock control, deliveries, logistics and events.
Key Responsibilities:
· Brewhouse Operations: Carry out daily brewhouse and cellar duties, including vessel cleaning, tank maintenance, and equipment care.
· Packaging and Logistics: Package beer across multiple formats including keg, cask, and can. Cover stock control, logistics, and deliveries.
· Quality & Safety: Manage raw materials, handle safe product transfers, and adhere strictly to health, safety, and beer production legislation.
What We Are Looking For:
· Technical Knowledge: An understanding of the production of beer is desirable but not essential. In house training will be given.

· Quality Assurance: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent quality standards and record keeping.
· Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues and help find solutions quickly.
· Communication Skills: Effective communication with other departments, including sales, marketing, and management and the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.
· Licences: Full UK manual driving licence is required. A forklift licence is highly desirable (or a willingness to train and obtain one).

For the right candidate, we offer the opportunity to complete a formal Level 4 Brewer Apprenticeship. This program typically takes 18 to 24 months to complete, counts as an industry-recognised qualification equivalent to the first year of a university degree, and serves as an excellent gateway into the craft beer sector.
