We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Dismantler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently dismantling vehicles to recover parts and materials for resale or recycling. Responsibilities
- Carefully dismantle vehicles using appropriate hand and power tools, ensuring parts are removed without damage.
- Identify and categorise vehicle components for resale, recycling, or disposal.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during dismantling processes.
- Use specialised equipment to lift and move heavy vehicle parts safely.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly after use.
- Conduct quality checks on dismantled parts to ensure they meet company standards.
- Assist with the disposal or recycling of non-reusable vehicle materials in accordance with environmental regulations.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers.
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and saws.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, often handling large or awkward vehicle parts.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
