From the team behind Maray, Café Barbette is a brand new concept in Exchange Square . Inspired by the relaxed charm of a European café, this is a venue designed to shift seamlessly on weekends from easygoing daytime drinks to a vibrant, vinyl music-led evening atmosphere.
Expect a curated wine list, punchy cocktails, and a simple, elegant menu built and delivered with real attention to detail.
We have part time positions available.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a seamless floor operation by providing swift, energetic, and proactive support to floor hosts, bartenders, and front-of-house staff during peak Saturday shifts.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables quickly to ensure a welcoming environment and smooth guest flow throughout the dining room and bar space.
- Deliver food and drinks from the pass and bar directly to tables with care, accuracy, and a positive attitude.
- Collect, wash, polish, and restock glassware, cutlery, and serviceware to high standards, keeping floor stations fully prepared.
- Keep service stations stocked with water, menus, napkins, and essential supplies, proactively anticipating floor needs during busy periods.
- Support mid-shift and closing procedures, ensuring all cleaning duties, table resets, and waste disposal meet health and safety standards.
- Welcome arriving guests with a warm, authentic presence, helping them feel comfortable and guiding them to tables when needed.
- Work collaboratively across front-of-house and kitchen teams to maintain momentum, speed, and an exceptional guest atmosphere in a fast-paced environment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, bar, or fast-paced hospitality environment is desirable, though a strong work ethic and enthusiastic attitude are most essential.
- A genuine love for customer service and high-energy atmosphere, with a drive to deliver great hospitality on peak trading days.
- Strong organizational skills and physical stamina, with the ability to stay on your feet, move quickly, and carry trays under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills with an approachable, reliable, and positive presence.
- High attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, stylish, and well-organized floor space.
- Full availability to work Saturdays, including late evening shifts and peak weekend hours
Pay: £12.81-£13.81 per hour
