Executive Head Chef / Head Chef / Senior Sous
As Sous Chef of Blossom Kitchen, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality, seasonal dishes in line with the Blossom Kitchen concept
- Supporting the Head Chef in developing innovative, wellness-focused menus
- Ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation across all dishes
- Assisting in the preparation of meat, fish, and plant-based dishes
- Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene and health safety
- Monitoring portion control, stock levels, and minimising waste
- Overseeing daily kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef
- Supporting the training and development of the kitchen team
- Ensuring the kitchen is maintained to the highest cleanliness and organisation standards
- Contributing to a positive, collaborative kitchen culture
- A genuine passion for food, particularly fresh, seasonal, and health-conscious cuisine
- Proactive mindset – anticipating challenges and solving problems before they arise
- NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent)
- Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Experience in a spa, wellness, or lifestyle-led food concept
- Experience within a 4-star hotel or high-quality hospitality environment
- Knowledge of nutrition-led, plant-forward, or modern British cuisine
