Freelance Site Manager – Carlisle
Recruit 4 Construction are currently looking to speak with experienced Site Managers for a potential upcoming project in Carlisle.
Our client has recently tendered for a £multi-million project involving the conversion of railway arches into commercial retail units. Whilst the contract award is still pending, we are proactively identifying suitable candidates so we can move quickly once confirmation is received.
The Project
- Conversion and refurbishment of existing railway arches
- Creation of new retail and commercial units
- Approximate programme: 30 Weeks
- Location: Carlisle
- Freelance Contract
- Start Date: TBC (subject to contract award)
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of site operations
- Managing subcontractors and direct labour
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards
- Coordinating site logistics and client requirements
- Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks and health & safety inspections
- Maintaining site records and progress reporting
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment, commercial or civil engineering projects
- Strong health & safety knowledge
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to lead site teams and drive programme delivery
- Valid SMSTS
- First Aid at Work
- CSCS Card
Desirable
- Experience working on railway arch, structural refurbishment or regeneration projects
- Temporary Works knowledge
- Experience working within live environments
