Multi-Skilled Carpenter / Renovation TradespersonJob summary
MRC Carpentry & Renovations Ltd is looking for an experienced, reliable tradesperson to join our team working on residential renovation projects across South Wales.
Our work mainly includes kitchen renovations, structural knock-throughs, extensions and full internal refurbishments. We need someone who can complete carpentry work to a good standard and confidently assist with other general building and renovation tasks.
Responsibilities
- First-fix and second-fix carpentry
- Installing stud walls, door linings, doors, skirting boards and architraves
- Kitchen fitting and associated carpentry
- Installing floor joists, roof timbers and structural timberwork
- Plasterboarding walls and ceilings
- General demolition and preparation work
- Making good following structural and service alterations
- Assisting with structural knock-throughs and steel installations
- Working alongside electricians, plumbers, plasterers and other trades
- Loading, unloading and moving materials
- Keeping the site clean, organised and safe
- Completing work carefully and to a high standard
Requirements
- Previous experience in carpentry, renovation or general building work
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and able to communicate properly
- Good attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
- Able to travel between projects across South Wales
- Own tools and transport are preferred
- Relevant carpentry or construction qualifications are desirable but practical ability and experience are more important
Most projects are located around Cardiff, the Vale of Glamorgan, Bridgend, Newport and the surrounding areas.
We are looking for someone dependable who takes pride in their work and wants regular involvement in good-quality residential renovation projects.
Pay: £25,420.00-£43,999.23 per year
