McGahan Engineering specialises in the design and manufacture of bespoke steel products, predominantly for the quarrying and recycling industries.
Due to ongoing expansion, we are looking for fabricators to join our busy production team.
Main Duties:
- Interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications to manufacture steel components accurately.
- Work closely with welders, designers, and production personnel to achieve efficient manufacturing and assembly.
- Assemble and fabricate steel structures, frames, platforms, handrails, brackets, and bespoke fabrications to customer specifications.
- Carry out fitting, alignment, and tack welding to ensure components are correctly positioned prior to final welding.
- Identify and report drawing discrepancies, material defects, or production issues, and assist in implementing practical solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity throughout the fabrication process.
Working Hours:
4 Day Working Week
With Overtime Worked on a Friday
Monday to Thursday 7.00am-5.30pm (40 Hours)
Overtime Available on Fridays 7.30am - 3.30pm
