Site Supervisor – NHBC Residential Construction
Location: Pitcrocknie Village, Alyth
Salary: £20.00–£22.00 per hour
Hours: 41 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to join our team at our Pitcrocknie Village development in Alyth.
The role will involve the day-to-day supervision and coordination of our existing subcontractors and trades on site, helping to ensure that works progress efficiently, safely and to the required quality standards.
The successful candidate must have previous experience working on an NHBC residential construction site. A joinery/carpentry background is highly desirable, as we are looking for someone with strong practical construction knowledge and a good understanding of the sequencing and quality requirements involved in residential housebuilding.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day supervision and coordination of subcontractors and trades
- Ensuring works progress in accordance with the construction programme
- Coordinating trades and identifying potential clashes or delays
- Monitoring workmanship and ensuring the required quality standards are maintained
- Ensuring works are completed in accordance with NHBC standards
- Checking works against construction drawings and specifications
- Identifying defects or issues and ensuring they are rectified promptly
- Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and the management team
- Coordinating deliveries, materials and site access where required
- Maintaining good site housekeeping and organisation
- Ensuring site health & safety procedures are followed
- Providing regular updates to management on site progress
- Helping to ensure plots are completed to the required standard and programme
Essential Experience
Applicants must have:
- Previous experience working on an NHBC residential construction site
- Experience supervising and coordinating subcontractors and trades
- A good understanding of residential construction methods and sequencing
- The ability to read and understand construction drawings
- A good understanding of workmanship and quality standards
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A practical, proactive approach to resolving day-to-day site issues
A joinery/carpentry background would be highly advantageous and would suit someone who has progressed from the tools into a supervisory role.
Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS and First Aid would also be advantageous.
