Sales Assistant required in our Northallerton carpet store.
Being a family-run company, we strive to offer a sincere and welcoming sales environment free from pressure to buy. As such, having strong customer service abilities is imperative. Effective interpersonal and telephone communication is crucial when interacting with customers and other employees in the store. You must be good at maths due to having to work out quotes/raising sales orders and understanding measurements. Requires good computers skills. Previous knowledge of carpet/flooring industry is not required but preferred.
Must be honest and reliable.
Job Duties:
- Assisting customers in store and over the phone
- Arranging measure bookings and fittings in the diary
- Raising quotes, sales orders and invoices for customers
- Creating job / fitting sheets
- Taking deposits and payments from customers in-store and over the phone
- Dealing with phone/social media/email enquiries
- General cleaning/point of sale tidying
- Move and stack materials
- General housekeeping duties in the Showroom/Warehouse or production area and duties as assigned
The hours for this position are:
5 days per week including a weekend on and a weekend off.
The hours maybe flexible to cover annual leave for other staff members.
