Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Peripatetic Manager to oversee multiple care settings, specialising in senior care and dementia support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in assisted living, nursing home management, and home care services. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring high standards of care, and implementing personalised care plans across various locations. The successful applicant will demonstrate leadership qualities, organisational skills, and a compassionate approach to eldercare, particularly in Alzheimer’s and medication administration.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across multiple care homes or service locations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organisational policies.
- Supervise and support care staff, fostering a positive team environment whilst maintaining high-quality service delivery.
- Develop, review, and implement personalised care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
- Ensure safe medication administration in accordance with healthcare regulations and organisational procedures.
- Provide leadership during staff training programmes and oversee ongoing professional development initiatives.
- Monitor the quality of care provided, conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure continuous improvement.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive eldercare services.
- Manage resource allocation efficiently across all locations under your supervision.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, staff rotas, and compliance records.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments, with a focus on senior or dementia care.
- Strong leadership and supervising experience within a care home or home care setting.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and Alzheimer’s support strategies.
- Competence in developing and managing personalised care plans.
- Experience with medication administration protocols in healthcare settings.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple locations effectively.
- Compassionate approach combined with strong communication skills to engage residents, families, and team members.
- Relevant qualifications in nursing or eldercare are highly desirable; management or leadership certifications are advantageous.
