We’re on the hunt for someone special to take the reins at Jenny’s, a late-night cocktail bar with a loyal following and huge untapped potential.
This role isn’t just about keeping the wheels turning. We’re looking for an astute operator who can help us identify opportunities to broaden our appeal and grow our revenue.
The Venue
Jenny’s has been part of the city’s commercial district nightlife for 12 years, building a reputation for exceptional cocktails, warm service, and a relaxed, unpretentious vibeb for a mature over 25 clientele.
We’re open four nights a week, with Fridays and Saturdays buzzing – but we know there’s room to grow on quieter nights. With a solid foundation in place, this is your chance to shape the future of Jenny’s, bring your ideas to life, and make a lasting mark on a well-loved venue.
The Role
As our next General Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind Jenny’s next chapter. This role is 70% business development, 30% venue management – perfect for someone who’s commercially savvy and eager to grow revenue, not just manage day-to-day operations.
You’ll:
- Lead and develop a small, talented team.
- Spot and seize opportunities to increase footfall, particularly outside the usual Friday/Saturday rush.
- Create and execute strategies to grow sales and build the brand.
- Maintain Jenny’s high standards for cocktails, service, and atmosphere.
- Oversee stock, GP targets, and rotas – keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
- Be the key point of contact for bookings, suppliers, and senior management.
- Ensure the highest standards are set for venue safety, security, and compliance.
- Regularly review performance and report on key figures.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re after someone , and full of ideas.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in a leadership role within hospitality.
- Experience in writing rotas and an understanding of controlling wages .
- An understanding of stocktaking and gross profit .
- A genuine love for hospitality, and creating memorable experiences.
- Computer literacy, with an experience of using Microsoft Excel.
