An exciting opportunity has arisen at Springvale Canine Creche for a new team member to start on a zero hour contract: We open Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 6pm and shifts vary week to week. This role offers minimum wage. Please also note you must be 18+ to be considered for this role.
We are looking for a confident and highly motivated individual to join our team with the day to day running of our dog day-care. We require an enthusiastic and passionate person to join us who can work well as part of a team but also has initiative to work on their own. This role includes handling of dogs, providing enrichment/stimulation, feeding and cleaning to a high standard.
You will be responsible for:
- Supervision of free playing dogs
- Control and management of all dogs in the day-care
- Ensuring the welfare and safety of the dogs at all times
- Cleaning indoor and outdoor areas, toys, bedding, play equipment and dog waste
- Taking payments, answering telephone calls and making bookings
- Making and maintaining customer relationships with daily feedback of their dogs
Important notices:
- Knowledge of dog behaviour to monitor and pick up on social cues is important.
- You must be confident with all sizes and breeds of dog
- This can be a physically demanding job with being on your feet and being energetic with the dogs in our car
- You must be flexible to cover annual leave
Desirable but not essential:
- Level 3 Animal Management or above
