Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated VB-ABA Consultant to join our specialist education team at Beehive ABA in Bounds Green, North London. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and creating a nurturing learning environment. We are an ABA therapy centre for children with Autism and we are searching for an ABA-VB Consultant (with the qualification of a BCBA or UKBA (cert) if applicable). As an ABA-VB Consultant, you will be allocated a case-load (responsible for behaviour plans, target setting and implementation and tutor / parent training) and occasionally asked to provide 1:1 therapy session for pre-school age children with additional educational needs in our therapy centre. Your supervision will be provided by our in-house Board-Certified Behaviour Analysts. During your time with us you can be supported to receive ongoing supervision and obtain required CEUs and APDs..
Responsibilities
Clinical Oversight & Programme Design
- Conduct and oversee ABA assessments (e.g. VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R or equivalent)
- Design and update individualised skill acquisition programmes
- Develop and oversee behaviour support plans
- Conduct functional assessments where appropriate
- Analyse and interpret data trends
- Ensure treatment integrity and procedural fidelity
- Make final clinical decisions regarding programming
The ABA Consultant holds responsibility for the quality and safety of allocated programmes.
Caseload Management
- Manage a clinical caseload (size determined by centre needs and complexity)
- Review all data weekly
- Ensure programmes remain dynamic and responsive
- Monitor risk and behaviour trends
- Adjust staffing recommendations where required
Staff Supervision & Development
- Provide formal supervision and line management to Tutors, Senior Tutors and Trainee Consultant
- Conduct competency assessments
- Deliver performance feedback
- Support staff professional development
- Model high-quality sessions where required
- Provide supervision hours aligned to credentialing body requirements (where qualified to do so)
Supervision may be provided toward:
Where the Consultant holds appropriate credential and supervisory status.
Parent & Professional Communication
- Lead parent meetings
- Provide written progress reports
- Contribute to EHCP documentation (where applicable)
- Liaise with external professionals
- Provide clear and professional communication regarding programme changes
Governance, Ethics & Safeguarding
- Uphold ethical standards in line with relevant credentialing bodies
- Ensure safeguarding remains central in all clinical decisions
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Ensure compliance with internal policies
- Act within scope of competence
- Escalate concerns appropriately
Centre Contribution
- Contribute to strategic clinical development
- Support training initiatives
- Assist in maintaining a culture of professionalism and accountability
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives
General Duties
- To undertake any other duties reasonably required to support the effective, safe and compliant operation of the centre, consistent with the nature and level of the role.
Hours of work
- Are between 8.30am-5.30pm (shifts), Monday to Friday 35 hours per week
- All year around. The Beehive Centre closes for a part of the school holidays

Pay: £29,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
