Shipley Pharmacy is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and patient-focused Trainee Pharmacy Dispenser to join our friendly and professional team. No previous experience is necessary - full training will be provided to the right candidate.
We are an independent community pharmacy committed to delivering safe, high-quality patient care and are continually expanding the clinical services we offer.
Responsibilities
- Support the dispensing of NHS and private prescriptions under supervision.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Assist with stock management and ordering.
- Support the pharmacist with Pharmacy First and other NHS services where appropriate.
- Learn and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Work efficiently within a busy team.
- Work towards a recognised pharmacy dispensing qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services), supported by the pharmacy.
Essential Requirements
- No previous pharmacy experience required - full training given.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable, professional and patient-focused.
- Willingness to work towards an NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services qualification (or equivalent).
Desirable
- Some experience in a customer service or retail environment.
- Interest in healthcare or pharmacy as a career.
- Strong OTC knowledge.
