Job Overview
Jans Services Ltd is a multi-service solutions provider specialising in Security and Event Services. Our event services include Security and Stewarding, Traffic Management, and Car Park Management. We deliver professional services to a range of large-scale events and venues.
We are one of the National Events Services supplier to some of the UK’s most famous and Iconic event venues, we are currently looking for Event Marshals to work as part of our team in a major Sporting Event this summer in the West Midlands. . This event will run for 10+ days including weekend working. The event will attract large crowds, and the Event Marshals will be required to manage spectator movement and vehicle parking.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of yourself, colleagues and the public
- Direct and manage the movement of vehicles entering, exiting, and parking within the event site and car parks.
- Monitor congestion points and take necessary action to maintain continuous and safe traffic flow.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, providing information and assistance to visitors.
- Maintain effective radio communication with management, supervisors, and team members.
- Attend event briefings and follow traffic management plans and briefing documentation.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
- Report incidents, accidents, and maintenance issues promptly.
- Work collaboratively as part of a coordinated team to deliver a safe, efficient, and effective operation.
- Represent Jans Services Ltd professionally at all times
Skills
Essential
- Right to work in the UK.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- A team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a similar traffic marshal or similar role in event-based role.
- Full UK Driving License .
